Sarah Flaherty

Inside Timberland: I manage Timberland’s product donations and help out in the planning of our pillar service events, such as Earth Day and Serv-a-palooza. It’s an amazing feeling to make a difference though service or see the gratitude on a grant recipient’s face. My job can be very rewarding.

Outside Timberland: I’m an avid reader (a member of two book clubs!) but also enjoy moving around, whether it’s walking, cardo-kickboxing, or yoga. I get allergy shots so I can one day fulfill my husband’s greatest dream: owning a dog.

My favorite thing to do in the outdoors: There’s nothing like hiking up in the White Mountains. Emerging from a wooded trail to a spectacular view always takes my breath away and makes the effort worth it.

My favorite Timberland product: I love my Earthkeepers Bethel Buckle boots. Comfy, stylish, and eco-conscious—you can’t go wrong!

And in late February, that’s just what [...]

Freezing temps and snowy grounds aren’t enough to keep Timberland employees from pulling on their boots to serve.  This week, nine employee volunteers—including Timberland President Patrik Frisk—helped rejuvenate a local senior housing complex by repainting an indoor corridor.  “Service is a great way to build community and meet people you wouldn’t normally get to work [...]

150 Gifts, 90 Timberland Elves (and a Partridge in a Pear Tree)

Timberland employees are always quick to lend a hand in community service.  This holiday season, we offered employees the chance to open their hearts (and wallets) by purchasing a gift for someone in need in the local community.  On a holiday tree in our cafeteria area, we hung tags containing wish-list items for individuals supported [...]

Making a Difference with the Mark Wahlberg Youth Foundation

It’s hard not to smile when a young girl tells you she wants to wear her new Timberland yellow boots right away—rather than putting them back in the box, and despite the fact that she’s wearing tights and a party dress.  And it’s really hard not to smile when a boy can’t contain himself and [...]
